ENGLISH

At the Elementary level, teaching of English focusses on the four fundamental skills i.e. LSRW - Listening - Speaking - Reading and - Writing. The child is familiarized to the English language through rhymes, pictures that connect them to life; home and outside home. The children listen to spoken English through gestures, letters, words, signs, visuals, pictures, sketches, single word questions and answers. More emphasis is given for phonics, grammar and handwriting.

HINDI

Hindi learning at LLW gives more thrust on two dimensions - communicative competence and using language for learning. There should be joy in learning and expressing ideas and thoughts. The role of the teacher is to facilitate this beautiful experience. It is done mainly through: - *Introducing to the construction of letters and sounds to make meaningful words. *Vocabulary building using the knowledge of scripts and sounds. *Build fluency in reading.

SANSKRIT

Sanskrit is taught with a view to make the students aware and understand the great cultural heritage of India. By learning Sanskrit, students are exposed to the traditions, rituals, literary works, and above all the very ideologies and values of the culture of India.

FRENCH

Learning another language gives the children a new perspective on the world, encouraging them to understand their own cultures and those of others. It helps the children to develop communication skills including key skills of speaking and listening and extends their knowledge of how the language works. .

OTHER COURSES

Drawing, Art and Craft and Calligraphy are also offered to the kids to enhance: - Development of their fine motor skills – dexterity – agility – improvement of hand eye coordination etc. Socially it helps to appreciate art and culture and also gives opportunity for self-expression.

Abacus education improves the skills of Visualization (photographic memory), Concentration, Listening Skills, Memory, Speed, Accuracy, Creativity, Self Confidence and Self-Reliance resulting in whole brain development.

Chess, teaches the students how to analyze a situation by focusing on important factors and by eliminating distractions. The children learn to devise creative solutions and put a plan into action.

Instrumental music like Keyboard and the Guitar and playing in ensembles enables the students to learn countless lifelong skills that help them develop into intelligent, creative leaders. The cognitive abilities of the students grow and expand, the longer they study music.
